What Is a Memorandum of Association?
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is the foundational legal document of any UAE mainland company. It defines the company's name, business activities, share structure, partner obligations, and management structure. Under UAE Commercial Companies Law, all mainland LLCs, civil companies, and partnerships must have a notarized MOA before they can obtain a trade license from the Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism (DET).
