MOA Notarization Dubai: Memorandum of Association

Draft, review, and notarize your Memorandum of Association at Dubai Courts. LLC, civil company, and sole proprietorship MOAs handled by experienced corporate notary specialists.

What Is a Memorandum of Association?

A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is the foundational legal document of any UAE mainland company. It defines the company's name, business activities, share structure, partner obligations, and management structure. Under UAE Commercial Companies Law, all mainland LLCs, civil companies, and partnerships must have a notarized MOA before they can obtain a trade license from the Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism (DET).

Without a properly notarized MOA, your company cannot legally operate in Dubai. Any changes to the company structure (adding partners, changing activities, or increasing capital) also require MOA amendments to be notarized.

Types of MOA We Handle

LLC (Limited Liability Company)

The most common business structure for mainland Dubai. Requires 1–50 partners, with each partner's liability limited to their share of capital.

Civil Company

For professionals such as doctors, engineers, and consultants. Partners share liability proportionally. Popular among regulated professions.

Sole Proprietorship

Single owner, full liability. MOA requirements are simpler but notarization is still mandatory for DED licensing.

MOA Notarization FAQ

How much does MOA notarization cost in Dubai?+

Fees depend on the company type and capital value. Dubai Courts notarization fees are set by the government and are based on the share capital in the MOA. Our service fee is quoted separately based on the complexity of drafting required. Contact us for a precise quote.

How long does MOA notarization take?+

With our same-day service, standard LLCs with straightforward MOAs may be notarized within a few hours if submitted before noon, subject to document readiness. More complex structures may require 1–2 business days.

How do I amend a notarized MOA?+

MOA amendments require a new notarization. You'll need a board/shareholder resolution approving the amendment, the amended text, and attendance of the relevant parties or their authorized representatives at Dubai Courts.

What documents are needed for LLC MOA notarization?+

Typically: Emirates IDs of all partners, passport copies, proposed company name approval from DED, the agreed share structure, and the business activity description.

Can MOA notarization be done online or remotely?+

Certain preparatory steps can be handled remotely, but the physical notarization at Dubai Courts requires either personal attendance or a notarized POA authorizing a representative to attend on your behalf.
